Why waiting around for a better time always backfires
Aug 14, 2025
"I'll start that business ... just as soon as things calm down."
"It'll be easier to get my masters ... once my littles are in school."
"I'm going to bike across the wine region of Italy ... just as soon as I retire!"
Have you ever put off a dream because you're waiting for a better time?
You're not alone.
So many of my clients are waiting for "the right time" to start creating their FY life.
But what if "the right time" never comes?
What if "normal life" isn't some magic calm period that always comes back around if we hang on long enough?
What if "normal life" is actually your car breaking down, a surprise work trip, your dog needing surgery, your small volunteer commitment morphing into a full-time job, and your landlord doubling the rent ... possibly all at once?
When we let go of the fantasy that life will calm down, it's easier to jump NOW. (Which let's be honest, is almost always the best time.)
And in this week's episode of the Climb Your Mountain podcast, I show you exactly why moving faster is usually better — and what you can do to take that scary first step.
Enjoy!
