Shaming Yourself for Being Selfish
Sep 25, 2025
Self-care. It's nice for twenty-somethings without kids, elderly parents, patients, students, or a demanding job.
But you? You have responsibilities.
If you don't take care of it all, who will?
Setting boundaries feels so selfish.
Spending time and money on your own happiness feels like taking it from others.
It's almost like what's bad for them is good for you.
Friend, if you're feeling this, I want you to consider ...
That the complete opposite is actually true.
As the caregiver, you are the asset.
Your are creating massive value for others and the world.
What's bad for you is bad for everyone.
And what's good for you is good for everyone.
So on this week's episode of the Climb Your Mountain podcast, I'm going to show you that self-care isn't just "nice to have."
It's actually your ethical duty as a human and a helper.
And that means it sometimes has to come before the needs and wants of others.
If this feels impossible to believe, don't worry. I'm going to walk you through it one thought at a time.
So you can start prioritizing your health.
And that vitality can ripple out from you to the world.
